Family photoshoot – Suffolk baby girl photo session
It is always a pleasure photographing families together, not everyone feels like being in front of a camera with all the sleepless nights and maybe feeling not at your best after giving birth, but I promise I am kind in photoshop, not so that people don’t recognise you, but so that you look your best, I’ve trained to ensure that the posing I use not only gives that atmospheric sense of love in these images but it shows your connection with your older children, the love between a new big brother or sister (or not) with your newborn baby. It truly is something to treasure. This Mummy was just absolutely stunning anyway and the family were so lovely.
This lovely Claydon, Suffolk family travelled to my newborn photography studio in Polstead Heath, Suffolk after picking out sweet and natural newborn poses for their shoot. I always plan my sessions in advance so I know what each family really loves about my portrait photography, and use colours for things like headbands, props and backdrops that will fit each families style.
What should you ask when booking your newborn photographer?
As a long term professional maternity, family, child and newborn baby photographer, I offer completely upfront pricing. The pricing includes digital images in full high resolution expertly edited to perfection, and they are of what you most want from your newborn shoot. You won’t find afterwards that you have to pay extra to get the image you want, or have to buy it as wall art. What you ask for in your chosen package is what you get. This is important to always ask when booking in for a photoshoot with your best choice of photographer.
Safety is always something you should ask about. Being sure that your chosen photographer is trained at posing your sweet little baby safely and knows about not cutting off circulation, and knows how to ensure your babies airway is safe.
Most photographers will tell you how long your session should take. And provide you with details their packages in full. Sometimes special offers to lure you in are too good to be true and you will be expected to invest further to get everything you want. So it’s important to set yourself a budget, being fair to all photographers we do need to earn money to feed our families and pay our bills. So just because this is seen as a job that we enjoy, you do need to also think about the time that will go into producing your newborn images. It is worth being up front with a photographer about what your budget is and what you can get and shop around.
