Beautiful baby Matthew came along for his Essex newborn shoot a couple of years ago. Mummy & Daddy had really clear ideas on what they’d like from their session. They also really wanted an Autumnal feel to the images. And definite cuddled up shots with their beautiful baby boy. Mum and Dad are just gorgeous anyway but you can feel the love this little family generates.
As you can see Matthew slept like a dream, I always send out a pdf to parents that explains how their session will work and what to expect from their newborn shoot. I regularly have clients travel from across Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge and London (Romford is within an hours travel). I also travel out to clients homes too, to do more lifestyle focussed newborn shoots. I find out before each shoot a families likes and dislikes. Often parents need a little guidance on what shoots work for them as it’s not until you have children you tend to start having photoshoots!
Lifestyle photography is becoming more popular this last year or two, even though Matthew’s session was a posed newborn session. I’m finding families really are drawn to having a relaxed photo session in their own homes, where they can sit and relax, without the worry of their baby sleeping all the way and being awake when they come to me, and the beauty of these sessions is if they like the posed images too that can also be achieved.
There is truly nothing more precious than capturing a beautiful newborn babies first moments. Their tiny little fingers and toes, fluffy newborn hair, just how squishy and curled up they still are. Watching their rapid breathing and waiting for that elusive windy baby smile – a glimpse into what they will be like as a toddler and child.
Babies really are a magical blessing, you experience feelings you never thought possible for this little being that is going to tug on your heartstrings forever.
