Cake Smash photography Essex – Snow White inspired birthday photoshoot

Beautiful Miss A, came for an early first birthday cakesmash to my studio. Mum really wanted a Snow White themed shoot and so I started planning the session with the help of Mums ideas. Woodland themed was a definite, so yet again the amazing Props for Togs came to the rescue with a swift turnaround on printing the backdrop, and this lovely background can be used for Fairy and Elf shoots too. We wanted to create a really ethereal magical feel to the images, and a chance to use many of the props I’ve been collecting for years. The rustic wooden bed was just perfect for before pictures holding the sparkly apple. Not all babies like cake and it’s worth letting your child play with a gooey cake before your photoshoot to get used to the texture and feel of being messy. Alternates can be fruit or something baby regularly enjoys eating. And we always finish off with a clean up and splash in the rolltop bath which they all seem to love. I’m so pleased with just how beautiful these images came out, I also made the outfit as I couldn’t find anything that I liked including the gorgeous glittery headband.

These photography sessions are just fun and a wonderful way to record your baby turning into a toddler and that first year of their life.
